Pieter Ippel

Pieter Ippel is an Associated partner at Hooghiesmtra & Partners. Pieter is an emeritus professor of law, philosophy and ethics at the University College Roosevelt in Middelburg and the University of Utrecht.

Pieter has a lot of experience in conducting empirical research and is familiar with sociology of law, law and philosophy. For example, he wrote the books 'Speaking the court' (2006), 'Modern law and the good life' about health, environment and privacy (2002) and ‘The inside. The practice of law and ethics in psychiatry '(2012).

Within our team, Pieter will focus on ethics and technology, among other things. Because in order to innovate responsibly, it is necessary to look at ethics as well as pay attention to the law. He was also Chairman of the Complaint Board of the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association (KNMP) and Secretary of the Board of the Netherlands Research Institute on Healthcare (NIVEL) in Utrecht.
