Pieter Ippel
Pieter Ippel is professor emeritus of law, philosophy and ethics at University College Roosevelt in Middelburg and Utrecht University.
Pieter has extensive experience in conducting (empirical) practice-oriented research and in teaching. His interests and research are varied and not easily categorised. He is at home in the sociology of law, law and philosophy. For instance, he wrote the books ‘Sprekend de rechtbank’ (2006), ‘Modern recht en het goede leven’ on health, environment and privacy (2002) and ‘De binnenkant. De praktijk van recht en ethiek in de psychiatrie' (2012).
Pieter's research interests include ethics and technology. Because in order to innovate responsibly, it is necessary to look at ethics as well as law.
