Helen Hukshorn

Helen Hukshorn (1973) is a partner and co-director of Hooghiemstra & Partners. Helen has a background in political history (University of Groningen). Prior to founding Hooghiemstra & Partners, Helen completed her studies in law from Erasmus University Rotterdam obtaining a Bachelor of Law and master’s in health law with a specialisation in fraud in health care and the impact the latter has on medical confidentiality and data protection.

Helen has broad and extensive experience in the public and private sector, having established organisations and innovative IT programs such as the eHerkenning scheme which focuses on the establishement of authentication and authorization. She has advised on issues of cross-border health data transfer within Europe, health care privacy, GDPR compliance combining her legal, strategic and organisational knowledge and experience in order to attain the best results. This enables her to deliver sector specific guidance and solutions to clients.
