Renée Dekker

Renée has been working as a consultant at Hooghiemstra & Partners since May 1^st 2020. Renée specializes in health law and more particularly at the cutting edge of exponential technologies in healthcare. Renée provides strategic and legal advice within our office.

In addition to her work for Hooghiemstra & Partners, she works as a lecturer and (PhD) researcher at the University of Twente at the Department of Governance & Technology for Sustainability. Her research focuses on the legal governance of exponential health technologies from a human rights perspective. As a lecturer, she provides health law education for the educational programs of Technical Medicine and Health Sciences and she is a guest lecturer at the Erasmus MC Academy.

Renée obtained her master's degree in Health Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2015. After her graduation she worked as a project manager at SMO (Promovendi), with an interdisciplinary group of young scientists on projects in regard to sustainable employability in healthcare.
